Jesper Dalgaard

Jesper Dalgaard has presented a total of three lamps Career. 3 cubic floating globes of cut willow branches hanging from the ceiling. Brown branches are tied together with strings and reminiscent of bamboo huts from an exotic and warm galaxy. Illuminated by a bare electric bulb they cast light in a patchwork of shadows and doubles on the walls, floor and ceiling. We are the guests at Karriere and sit in the middle of this mysterious and very appealing sci-fi bamboo hut floating above.

Jesper Dalgaard’s floating sculptures are always performed with a rustic handmade elegance, whether he uses the model railway materials, or all the latest from IKEA’s decoration department. The works have evolved in many directions over the last ten years but has always remained vague as utopian and humorous get-aways to the imagination. The best and cheapest way to travel in spirit.
